Discover the Underwater Paradise

Koh Samui isn’t just famous for its palm-lined beaches and luxury villas — it’s also one of Thailand’s best bases for diving adventures.

Top Dive Sites Around Koh Samui

1. Sail Rock (Hin Bai)
Often ranked among the best dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand, Sail Rock is located halfway between Koh Samui and Koh Tao.
It features a large pinnacle that rises from a depth of around 40 meters and is home to barracudas, batfish, angelfish, and — if you’re lucky — a majestic whale shark!

2. Koh Tao
Just 1.5 hours away by boat, Koh Tao is Thailand’s diving capital. With dozens of dive sites, calm conditions, and excellent visibility, it’s ideal for both beginners and certified divers.

3. Koh Phangan
Known for its relaxed vibe, Koh Phangan offers several beautiful shallow dive sites with vibrant coral gardens — perfect for fun dives or PADI training courses.

What to Expect

Most dive trips from Koh Samui start early in the morning. You’ll take a speedboat or diving vessel out to the nearby islands, enjoy two dives, and return by early afternoon.
Visibility typically ranges from 10–30 meters, and water temperatures stay around 28–30°C year-round, making it comfortable for both new and experienced divers.

The ideal season for diving in the Gulf of Thailand is March to October, when the sea is calm and visibility is at its best.
The monsoon season usually arrives between November and January, when diving conditions can be less predictable.
